The supermarket!

Your children do not like Math? Do they struggle with addition / subtraction? Here is my trick: the supermarket! My students love to play "going shopping". They love going to the register and paying with real money! The products I use are also real so they are very familiar with them. They have to speak it in Spanish all the time and use greetings, ask how much it costs, ask for the change, etc. 

I also use a bank where they have to go and ask for money so more people can be involved in the learnign game. It is a real success!

ps: please excuse me for the soda! The childre are who brought the products and I felt bad returning it home...But of course I gave them a lesson about good foods vs not good ones!
